LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Vice President Mike Pence rallied in Arkansans to re-elect a Republican congressman for a third term, saying the Trump administration can only continue its conservative agenda with the support of a Republican Congress.

Speaking at a Friday rally in Little Rock for 2nd Congressional District Rep. French Hill, Pence spoke about the administration's support for law enforcement and the military to a cheering crowd of about 300. He emphasized Hill's conservative record and touted the successes of the Trump administration, such as the 2017 tax cuts.

Before Pence, Hill was joined by Gov. Asa Hutchinson, Sen. Tom Cotton and 4th Congressional District Rep. Bruce Westerman, as well as the state attorney general and lieutenant governor.

Hill was briefly interrupted by a handful of protesters, who were escorted out by police.
