1 Dead, 4 Injured In Pine Bluff Drive-By Shooting

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) — Authorities in Pine Bluff say one person is dead and four others are injured following a drive-by shooting.

Officer Richard Wegner of the Pine Bluff Police Department says the shooting happened after a large party at a house in a residential area about 9 p.m. Saturday.

Police say someone fired gunshots into the house from the street, striking several people including one person who died at the scene. The victim has not been identified.

Investigators say three of the injured were transported to a local hospital, with another arriving in a personal vehicle. All the injured are adults and are being treated for injuries described as not life-threatening.

Multiple shell casings covered the street afterward, and Wegner says it’s unclear if a lone gunman or multiple people fired the shots.
