LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Authorities in Little Rock say one man is dead following a shootout involving several people outside an apartment complex.
Police public affairs officer Lt. Michael Ford says the victim was wounded shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday. Ford says responding officers initially could not find a victim or a suspect but learned later that a man had arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds and died from his injuries. His name has not been released.
Ford says it appears shots were fired back and forth between multiple subjects and a suspect has not been identified. Investigators have contacted the apartment complex’s managers about reviewing footage from multiple surveillance cameras around the property.
Witnesses reported hearing 20 or more shots and investigators say they found numerous shell casings outside the apartments.
