UPDATE: Fort Smith police have confirmed that Ceniceros was not driving while intoxicated and has agreed to other chemical testing. As of noon Saturday (March 30), results are pending.

Police say that Ceniceros is currently not facing any charges.

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KFSM) — Fort Smith Police are investigating after a Chevy Silverado truck ran into the Bank OZK building at 2520 Zero St. in Fort Smith Friday (March 29).

Aric Mitchell with the Fort Smith Police Department says there is significant damage to the building.

Fort Smith police arrested the driver, 25-year-old Jose Ceniceros. He was taken to jail for suspicion of being under the influence.

"He did not pass his initial exams, but we are not sure if he was on alcohol or some other substance," Mitchell said.

No one was injured in the accident.

Employees of the bank said no customers were inside when the crash happened. However, the bank was open during its regular business hours.

Employees also said papers, furniture and pieces of the wall flew through the bank.

Police will now reconstruct the scene to figure out where the truck came from and how it hit the building.
