FORT SMITH (KFSM) — A Fort Smith woman who was the subject of a Silver Alert from the Fort Smith Police has been found and is safe.
The Fort Smith Police Department requested the activation of a Silver Alert for Constance Lorene Gaines, 66, who they say had been missing for three days.
Gaines was reported missing by her family. They say Gaines was living with her son and his girlfriend, but on May 12 she left and took what personal items she had with her.
The family said they were concerned due to Gaines’ dementia-like symptoms.
Police said they confirmed at 8:30 a.m. Thursday (May 16) that Gaines was found at a family member’s house in Muskogee by a local officer and was safe.
