FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Arkansas Razorback's live mascot, who officially retired on Saturday (June 8), will be coming out of retirement for today's (June 10) game only.

According to Tusk IV's Twitter account, he will be returning for Monday's (June 10) game due to popular request and to give the Hogs a little extra luck.

Tusk IV has been the live mascot for the Razorbacks since the 2011 season and retired following Saturday's (June 8) baseball game.

Fans said that the Razorback family is already a supportive group, but having Tusk at the game helps even more.

"I'm so glad he's coming back today for one last appearance because hey, it's Tusk," said Dan Lance Staggs. "Tusk is amazing. We don't need much boosting, but when Tusk is around it's awesome."

The first pitch of today's (June 10) game is at 3 p.m. at Baum-Walker Stadium. Tusk IV will be outside of Gate C to greet fans and cheer on the Diamond Hogs.

His son, Tusk V, is set to take the reigns in time for the 2019 football season.

The mascots are raised and taken care of by the Stokes family near Dardanelle, Arkansas.
