Army Corps of Engineers To Open Spillway Gates At Beaver Lake

UPDATE: The Corps raised all seven gates to 2 feet and 6 inches by 9 a.m. Monday (June 24).

The release from the spillway has been increased to a total of over 24,500 cubic-feet-per-second.

ROGERS, Ark. -- The Corps of Engineers from Little Rock will begin opening Spillway Gates at Beaver Lake by noon Sunday (June 23).

All seven gates will be open two feet by 5 p.m.

A release of over 19,500 cubic-feet-per-second is expected.
