Police Arrest Man In Connection With Fatal Little Rock Stabbing

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Police in Little Rock say a 64-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing.

Pulaski County Jail records indicate that Thornell Burl of Little Rock was booked on Friday on a first-degree murder complaint and was being held without bond Saturday. The records do not indicate if Burl is represented by an attorney.

Little Rock police responded to reports of a stabbing about 10:50 p.m. Friday and found 61-year-old Donald Colbert lying outside a residence suffering from severe stab wounds. Colbert was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police that a suspect in Colbert’s stabbing was still inside the home. Officers found Burl in the home and took him into custody.

Investigators have not released details concerning what led to the stabbing.
