WEST FORK, Ark. (KFSM) — A man was arrested Sunday (Aug. 11) after police said he fled an Arkansas Game and Fish Officer in West Fork while driving a stolen vehicle out of the Waldron area.

West Fork Officers arrested Demetrius Hill, 20, of Grandview, Missouri after he wrecked the vehicle on Wheeler Street. Police say during the pursuit Hill crashed into a parked car on Maple Street.

"The vehicle was reported stolen out of the Waldron area earlier this morning into last night. The vehicle ended up wrecking out on Wheeler Street, and we were able to take the suspect into custody," West Fork Police Officer Tyler Underwood said.

Hill was taken to Washington Regional to be checked out and will be booked into the Washington County Jail. He is facing charges of reckless driving, fleeing, theft by receiving, second-degree battery, and leaving the scene of a crash.
