FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFSM) — Emergency crews responded to a house fire in Fayetteville Saturday (Aug. 17) morning.

Crews with the Fayetteville Fire Department and several ambulances were on scene.

The fire happened at a home near El Paso and Double Springs Rd.

"Reports of a structure fire with a child at home alone. When units arrived on the scene they did find a working structure fire. Unfortunately, it pretty much destroyed everything in the house," Fayetteville Fire Department Battalion Chief Kevin Murray said.

Besides the complete loss of the home due to smoke damage, one pet is missing and the other one has been found deceased. However, all the individuals present at the home during the fire have no injuries.

A 5NEWS viewer sent us a video showing the extent of the fire as they drove by.

A GoFundMe account has been set up by a neighbor to help the family.
