FORT SMITH, Ark. (KFSM) — A man who police say beat and tortured a Fort Smith woman, stole her car, crashed it and fled has been arrested in Tulsa.

Tulsa police found Jedidiah Kursh, 39, on Monday (Sept. 9) around 3:20 p.m., and he was booked into the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office jail. He was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant and a U.S. Marshals hold and on suspicion of false impersonation.

He was being sought by Fort Smith police after they say he beat and tortured a woman, left the scene in her car before crashing it and fleeing on foot near Midland Boulevard.

Kursh will be transported back to Fort Smith.

He was described as being extremely dangerous by police.
