BELLA VISTA, Ark. (KFSM) — Authorities in two states are searching for a suspect who stole a truck in Arkansas, wrecked it in Oklahoma and fled on foot.
What started out as a foot pursuit led to the suspect stealing a truck in Bella Vista. The suspect took off in a 2003 Red Ford F-250 truck, with the Arkansas State Police close behind.
The chase continued into Delaware County in Oklahoma, where Delaware County Sheriff's deputies and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol joined in the pursuit.
OHP confirmed the suspect wrecked the truck in Delaware County and fled on foot. He has yet to be captured, they said.
Neither OHP nor ASP or Bella Vista Police has released the name of the suspect.
It is unknown at this time why police were in pursuit of the suspect to begin with.
