HIGHFILL, Ark. (KFSM) — The Highfill, Gentry, and Centerton Fire Departments responded to a three-story residential structure fire this morning (Oct. 6).
The fire was on Pautsky Lane in Highfill. They were able to put out the fire successfully.
No injuries were reported. Since this, they have rescued approximately 20 individuals from swift waters.
Those with the fire departments are urging people not to get out in the water.
“Six inches of water will reach the bottom of most passenger cars causing loss of control and potential stalling. A foot of water will float most vehicles. Two feet of rushing water will carry away most vehicles, including SUV’s and pickups,” said a Facebook post by Centerton Fire Department.
