Eastbound Traffic On I-540 Slowed After Semi Crashes Into Steel Beam

CRAWFORD COUNTY (KFSM) — Traffic was rerouted on Interstate 40 in Crawford County after a semi-truck crash involving a steel beam Friday (Dec. 6).

According to Van Buren police, I-540 northbound traffic is backed up past Grand Avenue. The iDriveArkansas map is showing that I-40 eastbound traffic is back to normal as of 6:20 p.m.

VBPD asks that drivers use an alternate route if possible.

After the accident traffic was being rerouted to Highway 64.
