Stephen Elmore is originally from Belleville, IL, just across the Mississippi River near St. Louis, MO.
Stephen earned his B.S. in Physical Science with a focus in Broadcast Meteorology from Eastern Illinois University. During his senior year, Stephen was the lead forecaster for his college station, WEIU. He also played football for EIU, and his first college game was against the Razorbacks back in 2018.
Stephen arrived at 5NEWS in 2022 as the weekend evening meteorologist. Since his time at 5NEWS, he has covered all the crazy weather that comes through Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley. One of his most memorable events is the EF-2 tornado that ripped through parts of Logan County, early Father’s Day morning in June 2023.
