From the moment Zac Scott learned about tornados and severe weather, his family and friends knew he was going to achieve his dream of becoming a meteorologist.
Born in Hot Springs and a graduate of Bryant High School, Zac earned his Bachelor of Geosciences from Mississippi State University. Since 2013, Zac has spent time in Oklahoma and Texas covering everything from a 100-year flood to the winter weather outbreak in February 2021.
One year later, Zac announced he was headed home to join the 5NEWS team and returned to a snow-covered Natural State.
A lifelong Razorback fan and lover of all things Arkansas, Zac and his wife, Ann Marie are thrilled to raise their children in Northwest Arkansas where they can continue exploring the outdoors, discovering great eats, and calling those Hogs.
