Arkansas Public Theatre indefinitely postpones upcoming shows amid tornado cleanup efforts

Rent, scheduled for May 31 - June 9, and Kinky Boots, scheduled for Aug. 2 - 11, were indefinitely postponed to widespread damage to the community.

ROGERS, Ark. — Upcoming productions of "Rent" and "Kinky Boots" at the Arkansas Public Theatre (APT) have been indefinitely postponed after tornados swept through Benton County on May 26, killing at least four, injuring others, damaging countless homes, and cutting power across multiple cities.

Rent, scheduled for May 31 - June 9, and Kinky Boots, scheduled for Aug. 2 - 11, was indefinitely postponed due to widespread damage to the community, with "no established timeframe" for when a situational reassessment can be made by the APT.

Purchased tickets "will be honored for new show dates once they become available," but anyone searching for a refund is asked to contact APT Director of Operations Lisa Turpin at manager@arkansaspublictheatre.org

APT asks for patience at this time as some of their staff have been impacted by the storms.

For updates on the situation, APT recommends checking out their website or social media accounts.
