Fort Smith National Night Out to be held in October | Here's what it's about

According to the Fort Smith Police Department, the event will be held Oct. 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Central Mall parking lot.

FORT SMITH, Ark. — The date for this year's National Night Out in Fort Smith has been released.

According to the Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD), the event will be held Oct. 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Central Mall parking lot.

NNO is a national event that allows the community to meet with first responders and learn more about them and their departments. 

In addition to the meet-and-greets, attendees can get a closer look at first responder vehicles, the Fort Smith Transit Bus, and more. 

The event will include free hot dogs, chips, and drinks. There will also be face painting, a dunk tank, the FSPD scribble car, and door prizes.
