BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Filmmakers from all over the world are in Bentonville for the 2024 Bentonville Film Festival, held Tuesday, June 11 through Sunday, June 16.
The opening film, Out of My Mind, presented by Disney, will kick things off at 7:30 pm on Tuesday at the Momentary.
That will be the first of more than 75 films and 50 shorts to be presented at the festival.
Premieres of films run through Sunday at different venues including the Momentary, Skylight Cinema, and Thaden School.
This year’s lineup also includes panels and events taking an inside look at the entertainment industry.
“It's a good opportunity to not only see films that have played all over the world at all these festivals but [also] if you're interested in the ‘behind the scenes’ of what it takes to make a film,” said Wendy Guerrero, president of the Bentonville Film Festival and Foundation.
Guerrero added there will be a wide variety of events for people of all ages to enjoy.
“If you're a film buff, there's definitely a lot of films to check out. If you're interested in executive panel conversations surrounding all kinds of different topics, we have those, and then if you just want to come out and do some free events, we have so many things happening at the Momentary,” Guerrero said.
She mentioned several events, including a Barbie dress-up screening on Friday, a Beetlejuice costume contest on Saturday, and a live fireworks show at the Momentary on Saturday night.
Passes for the whole week start at $100. Single tickets for individual events are also available, and there are also some free events.
