Concerts at George's Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville in 2024

Between acts like King Cabbage, Shlump, and Squirrel Flower, we can't tell if it's more fun to say the names five-times-fast or listen to the music.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — George's Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, boasting itself as "Arkansas's oldest and longest-running live music venue," sits on Dickson Street in Fayetteville and hosts multiple musical artists almost every weekend.

Recently named the Best Local Music Venue in the southeast U.S., according to Hometowns of Consequence, a competition based on fan-led nominations of venues across the country that have become a "home-away-from-home" for music fans.

George's was opened in 1927 by George Pappas, who ran a restaurant and bar from the location, alongside a general store. Since then, the venue has become a staple for locals when it comes to live music.
