A Fort Smith business is offering a special chance to see Christmas from the same view Ol’ Saint Nick has as he makes his holiday deliveries.

Fort Smith Helicopter will be taking groups on helicopter tours of Christmas lights through Monday, December 16.

The tour costs $50 for adults, and $40 for kids age six and under.  Kids age two and under can go on the tour free.  Rides begin after sunset and last until 10 p.m. and take off from TAC air located at the Fort Smith Regional Airport across from Home Depot.

The Christmas light flight is piloted by Thomas Gage, who has been flying for over 20 years.

“We stay about 300 to 500 feet off the ground and it’s hard to say and hard to compare anything to it, other than it's an awesome ride,” said Gage.

The aerial display adds an appreciation for lights that can’t be delivered from the ground.  One of the most impressive displays you can catch is at the Kenny King residence on the east side of Fort Smith.  It’s a bright display that would even make Clark Griswold a bit envious.

Each trip lasts between 6-8 minutes.  Flights go on a first come, first serve basis.
