Mt. Nebo State Park is the second oldest state park in the state, and sits on top of a mountain offering a 360 degree view of the surrounding area from 1,350 feet. Nebo was a prominent landmark for early navigation of the Arkansas River, and gets its name from the biblical Mount Nebo where Moses saw the promise land. Although Moses wasn't there the park is still rich with history, and offers camping, lodging, and hiking with breath taking views.
