FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — As one local brewery announced their closing, plans were already in place for another to open in its place.
Apple Blossom Brewery will close its doors for good on Saturday, April 22, but the company told customers that Flyway Brewing would be moving into its space.
The Central Arkansas-based brewery will venture into Northwest Arkansas, taking over Apple Blossom's space and bringing its brand to the area, according to Apple Blossom's announcement.
Although the brewery will be closing, Apple Blossom says another project is in the works and will be right next door.
Flyway Brewing started as a ten-barrel microbrewery on the banks of the Arkansas River in North Little Rock, their website says.
"Our name comes from the awe-inspiring Mississippi Flyway, the largest bird migratory route in the Americas. Running from central Canada to the area surrounding the Gulf of Mexico, the flyway bottles up like a funnel over Arkansas, representing the narrowest portion in the route."
