Pottery making open to all skill levels at Fifth Street Studio in Bentonville

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Are you in the market for a new hobby or even new kitchenware? At Fifth Street Studio in Bentonville, you can kill two birds with one stone. 

Located at 1012 SE 5th St., the pottery studio offers classes, workshops, tools, and more for all skill levels. 

"We offer classes for all ranges of ability, from true beginner all the way up to advanced ceramics," the studio's website said. 

Their six-week classes for July include Wheel I, Wheel II, and Handbuilding I. 

"Our vision is to be an accessible space for potters, makers, and artists throughout Northwest Arkansas and make a space for them to grow, learn, and make messes," the studio said. 

For artists in the area, the studio also offers a range of materials for purchase, including clay, glaze,  and tools.

They also offer one-day workshops that focus on specific skills for beginners, such as handbuilding mugs, making surface decorations, or making plates.

Their website says the workshops are "the perfect way to dip your toes into clay."

For those who love to make pottery, or learn to love it through taking classes at Fifth Street, the studio offers different memberships.

  • Studio Membership ($310)
  • Punch Card Membership ($25)
  • Handbuilding Membership ($257)
  • Firing and Glazing Membership ($195.25)

The shop is open on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
