ROGERS, Ark. — Honeycomb Kitchen Shop in Downtown Rogers is conducting business through its motto: “Inspiring you to cook more at home.”
Between its in-person shop, online shop, cooking classes, and even cooking trips, Honeycomb has a lot to offer.
Two long-time friends Melissa Turpin and Dana Smith created the shop to encourage more people to cook at home by providing the tools to be successful.
They offer hands-on classes ranging from large settings with other aspiring cooks to private settings alongside a handful of friends.
The five public classes a week normally sell out pretty quickly. They transition between 30 local chefs to lead different classes, making each one a unique experience. Classes begin around 6 p.m. and last until around 8: 30 p.m.
Although most of their classes are sold out now for February and March, they still have spots open for the Winter Salads class on Jan. 29, the Geaux Gumbo class on Feb. 26, and the Middle Eastern Breakfast-Palestine Sunrise on March 19.
To coordinate a private class, you must book online and Honeycomb will reach back out to you with more details.
On the latest episode of Around the Corner, Zac, Jo, and Tiffany experienced a private cooking class for themselves. Dana gave the morning crew some pointers on how to make the perfect Super Bowl snacks and drinks.
As you become more confident in your cooking through Honeycomb's classes, you will be able to find a lot of ingredients and tools you need to spice up your kitchen. Of course, most items have a specific Arkansas flare that is hard to pass up.
