FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — My-T-By-Design Therapeutic Art Studio aims to be a creative oasis for residents of Northwest Arkansas and beyond to express themselves freely.
"At MY-T-BY-DESIGN Therapeutic Studio our facility is designed for families to leave feeling even better than when they first came," according to the studio's website. "It’s our intention to allow you the opportunity to 'release and heal into the canvas' to spark the process for you to SEE YOUR VALUE and KNOW YOUR WORTH."
Founder and CEO Lakisha Bradley launched My-T-By-Design in 2017 as a mobile service. Within a year, Bradley opened the first physical studio in Fayetteville.
My-T-By-Design still maintains mobile services by visiting daycares, senior assisted living facilities, Alzheimer's and dementia patients, businesses, juvenile detention centers, and the Benton County Probation Office.
At the studio, they host workshops, private lessons, and sessions they call "Healing into the Canvas."
- Conversation 'N Paint Workshops (prices vary)
- This workshop is good for teams, groups, or corporate organizations. These workshops can be customizable based on an organization's needs.
- Private Lessons: The Art of Imagination ($35 per hour)
- All art supplies are included for a private beginner to intermediate art lesson guided by a facilitator. Four-week sessions are also available for $125.
- Sip-n-Paint Events ($45 for two hours, $25 for kids between 4 and 10)
- Upcoming workshops are posted to My-T-By-Design's calendar. These events are hosted either at the studio or at an onsite event. Art supplies and an instructor are available at these events.
- Healing Into the Canvas ($50 for two hours)
- These private and confidential sessions can be for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- The studio said it is working to provide scholarships for individuals and families who want help but may not be able to afford a session.
Folks can also rent the My-T-By-Design Therapeutic Studio for an event meeting space, team meeting, holiday celebration, and more. It costs $100 per hour to rent.
The studio is located at 392 E. Sunbridge Dr. in Fayetteville. It's open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday and Monday by appointment.
