CHARLESTON, Ark. — Rosemary Underwood of Charleston is a lucky Arkansan who will appear on today's episode of Wheel of Fortune.
The episode will air at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, right here on Channel 5.
Underwood is a contestant on Wheel in the first week that show host Ryan Seacrest stepped into Pat Sajak's shoes after 41 years. Sajak was at the helm of the wildly popular gameshow for nearly 8,000 episodes.
How did she get on Wheel of Fortune?
Underwood says her husband was a big part of her getting on the show by helping her fill out the application online. She said, "It's a process," but it goes from there.
How did it go?
Underwood said the experience is nerve-wracking but said the "crew is phenomenal."
When asked how she prepared, Underwood said she watched all the episodes and tried to solve old puzzles.
The experience
Underwood said she would recommend the experience to others, saying, "It was a lot of fun."
In addition to being on the show, which was filmed in California, Underwood said she enjoyed a Dodger baseball game, the beach, and a trip to Knotts Berry Farm.
However, everyone's big question is how much she won. Underwood said she won't reveal that just yet; you'll have to watch the episode to find out.
