FORT SMITH (KFSM) - A River Valley pregnancy support center plans to hold its largest gala of the year in late September to raise money for its growing services.
For a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that aired Sunday (September 13), anchor Daren Bobb interviewed the Executive Director of Heart To Heart Daphne Dahlem. The non-profit's mission is to offer help to pregnant woman who don't have a place to go to when in need. Their gala will take place on Tuesday, September 22nd at the Executive Hotel at City Center in Fort Smith.
Dahlem said that her group does more than provide diapers and parenting classes, and they will see anyone who wants their assistance regardless of age. She also said a surprise announcement will be made at the gala about their services, which has increased by 35 percent.
