VAN BUREN, Ark. — A Van Buren woman who turned 100 years old on Jan. 2, 2023, said the key to her longevity is the role God has played in her life.
Juanita Richardson celebrated her birthday surrounded by family and friends at the First Baptist Church in Van Buren.
Her advice on a long life?
"I would say to be sure you put God in your life, first of all, and find you a good church," Juanita said.
Juanita was born on Jan. 2, 1924, and grew up in Mountainburg where she eventually taught for years before retiring.
She said she married her high school sweetheart and was married for 74 years!
"I've had a wonderful life. God has been very good to me," Richardson said. "I have precious children and grandchildren, and they're all beautiful and healthy."
