FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Update: Fayetteville Animal Services has confirmed that they are sold out of Puppy Grams.
When a love letter or a bouquet of roses isn't quite cute enough, Fayetteville Animal Services (FAS) has residents covered.
For a suggested minimum $50 donation, FAS offers a 10-minute visit from an adorable dog presenting a rose and a card stating that a donation has been made to the Fayetteville Animal Shelter in their honor.
"We are so excited to offer a way for people to help the shelter while also providing them a unique way to surprise a loved one on Valentine's Day," said Animal Services Superintendent Justin Lentz. "Don't hesitate to treat yourself or your best friend to a Puppy Gram – it's such a fun and special gift!"
Puppy Grams can be reserved at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave., or by calling 479-444-3456. They will be delivered between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13, and Wednesday, Feb. 14.
FAS is offering this service only to addresses within Fayetteville city limits, and it is the gift-giver's responsibility to make sure animals are allowed at the location.
All donations are tax-deductible, and FAS said they will be used as needed throughout the year to help animals in need.
Ashley Lockhart, shelter programs administrator, said, "We have offered these since 2014, but we haven't offered them since the pandemic. We are so excited to offer them again!"
