EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. — According to Travel Lemming, a US-based travel guide read by more than 10 million travelers, Eureka Springs, Arkansas is the 10th best place in the world to travel next year.
The guide says that its annual list of 50 best places to travel highlights "emerging destinations and hidden gems around the world."
The article calls Eureka Springs an “unexpected artists' enclave” and cites “historic structures, artsy vibes, and sacred healing waters” as some of the town’s biggest draws. It also notes the “streams and grottos [that] trickle through downtown."
Laura McFarland, a writer at Travel Lemming, commented: “I never expected to thoroughly enjoy my time in Arkansas, but visiting Eureka Springs single-handedly changed my entire perception of the state. The town is a surprising hotspot for arts and culture.”

The annual list is a collaborative project of the publication’s team of more than 35 travel writers and editors. Travel Lemming’s local travel experts each nominate their favorite destinations for consideration by the publication's editorial board.
By region, the full list of 50 destinations includes 15 destinations in Europe, 7 in Asia, 2 in South America, 2 in Oceania, 2 in Africa, 5 in North America (besides the US), and 17 in the United States.
