FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fayetteville Animal Services (FAS) is waiving adoption fees for a limited time.
"Due to a recent swell in available dogs and cats," adoption fees will be waived from Oct. 1 through Oct. 15, the release said. All animals will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, FAS said.
Animal Services Superintendent Justin Lentz says adoptions decrease when cooler weather arrives, causing shelters to fill up quickly.
“By choosing to adopt, you’re providing a loving home to a pet and making room for another animal in need,” said Lentz.
If you would like to adopt a pet, Animal Services is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave.
