Anonymous Springdale woman wins $350,000 in lottery, plans to buy a house

The woman, who prefers to play scratch-off games, bought the $20 winning ticket at the Circle K on West Huntsville Avenue as part of her daily routine.

SPRINGDALE, Ark. — On Feb. 23, an anonymous Springdale woman listed as "Ma C." claimed $350,000 in lottery winnings from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

Ma, who reportedly prefers to play scratch-off games, bought the $20 winning ticket at the Circle K on West Huntsville Avenue, as part of her daily routine.

When Ma scratched off the ticket at the gas station and saw that she had won the $350,000 prize she "couldn’t believe it,” Ma said to lottery officials.

This top prize marks Ma’s biggest yet— a jump from the $1,000 prizes she's won in the past. Ma intends to purchase a home with her winnings.

Another winner, Lonzo Ford of Hot Springs Village, won $25,000 on Feb. 21 when he purchased a ticket at Good Spirits on Calella Road in Hot Springs.

Ford, who has only missed one drawing since 2022, always purchases a ticket with five sets of digits for one drawing, making sure to use the same numbers each time. Most of these sets include his lucky number: 13.
