SUNSET, Louisiana — Harps Food Stores Inc. of Springdale said it had entered into an agreement to buy Janise’s Supermarket in Sunset, Louisiana.
Financial terms of the deal were not released. Harps said the deal is expected to close by the end of July, and it will retain Janise’s staff to ensure a smooth transition to new ownership.
Harps, an employee-owned company, has 146 stores in six states. The company said it has more than 7,200 employees.
