ARKANSAS, USA — Ahead of back to school season, Walmart is getting ready by making an effort to create a more inclusive shopping experience for those with sensory disabilities.
Officials with the Bentonville-based chain say that their "sensory-friendly hours" run from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. on Saturdays in July and August of 2023.
Walmart has stated that they are "striving every day to create a culture where everyone feels they belong," by scheduling times where the lights are dimmed and the radio is turned down.
