FORT SMITH, Ark — A Sebastian County teen is facing charges of raping a 7-year-old girl multiple times over the course of at least two months, according to a Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD) affidavit.
The affidavit accuses Fort Smith 18-year-old Santiago Monterrosa of raping a 7-year-old girl multiple times while he was babysitting her between November 2023 and January 2024.
Sebastian County records report Monterrosa was booked into jail on June 26.
According to court documents, Monterossa's bail was set at $100,000, and he is facing charges of rape and second-degree sexual assault. He is also barred from approaching or communicating with the alleged victim's family, under penalty of arrest.
