CRAWFORD COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — During the past two weeks, Arkansas State Police were able to take hundreds of pounds of illegal narcotics off Crawford County streets during four separate traffic stops.
According to reports, just before 7:00 a.m. on October 30, ASP troopers pulled over a vehicle in Crawford County for a traffic violation. Upon searching the vehicle, they found 170 rolled marijuana joints and 22 one-pound packages of illegal marijuana.
The driver, identified as 36-year-old Delavontay Davis of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, and the passenger, identified as 29-year-old Tedra Hendricks of Colombia, South Carolina were both arrested and taken to the Crawford County Detention Center.
They were both booked on felony charges for possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On October 30 at about 2:40 p.m., troopers pulled over a vehicle that was traveling along I-40 eastbound. After a search of the vehicle, they found various drug paraphernalia, 16 pounds of illegal marijuana, and over a pound of methamphetamine.
Troopers then arrested 45-year-old Doyle Dunn of Alexander and he was taken to the Crawford County Detention Center on charges of trafficking a controlled substance, possession with purpose to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
During a different traffic stop that happened at about 1:18 p.m. on October 23, a vehicle traveling east along I-40 was pulled over.
When they searched the vehicle, troopers found 11 large duffle bags which had a total of 258 pounds of illegal marijuana as well as several vacuum-sealed bags of THC products. They also found drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.
The troopers arrested 66-year-old Mikie Rose of Hastings, Florida and she was booked into the Crawford County Detention Center on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession with intent to deliver.
During the last traffic stop on October 22, ASP troopers stopped a vehicle traveling east along I-40 at about 7:30 p.m.
After a search of the vehicle, troopers found eight pounds of high-grade illegal marijuana inside of a suitcase.
43-year-old David Franklin of Eden, North Carolina was arrested and taken to the Crawford County Detention Center. He was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
