BELLA VISTA, Ark. — Police are looking for a suspect who broke into the Bella Vista Historical Museum and stole something on Oct. 26.
According to the Bella Vista Police Department, the suspect stole a safe containing a 2007 time capsule titled "The Year Bella Vista Village Became a City." The museum said they hoped the time capsule would be opened on the 100th anniversary of the City of Bella Vista in 2107.
"We assume the burglars thought there was money inside the safe but there wasn't," the museum said on Facebook. "It was all papers, photos, etc., showing what life was like here in 2007."
Police said the suspect was driving a white Ford Flex. They collected surveillance footage of the vehicle in the museum's parking lot around 9:23 p.m. on Saturday.
If you have any information about the robbery, the police department asks you to contact Detective King at (479) 855-3771 or aking@bellavistaar.org.
