BENTONVILLE, Ark. — According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), authorities have arrested a man for terroristic threatening after a "short search and standoff" that involved the Benton County SWAT team.

BCSO says around 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 12, they were informed that Stephen Charles was making homicidal threats near a home off Haden Road in Bentonville.

The SWAT team was deployed due to the "high-risk concern and nature of [the] call," according to BCSO.

According to Arkansas code, a person can be accused of terroristic threatening if authorities believe they threatened to either damage another person's property or cause their death or serious injury.
