POTEAU, Okla. — A "dangerous" inmate escaped the LeFlore County Jail on Feb. 28, according to the sheriff's office.
The LeFlore County Sheriff's Office is actively looking for Kevin Thompson, who was brought into jail on Feb. 24 on charges of kidnapping, domestic assault with a deadly weapon, and interfering with emergency communications.
County officials said Thompson was able to follow another inmate out as they were being released.
The LeFlore County Jail says they consider Thompson dangerous. If you see him, they say do not approach him and call 911 or the sheriff's office at 918-647-2317.
Officials say Thompson is from the Pocola Area and believe he may return there.
