Fayetteville man sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for drug trafficking

In April 2023, meth, fentanyl, a gun, and body armor were found in a storage unit belonging to the man.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — On May 20, a Fayetteville man was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after being found guilty of distributing meth, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Arkansas.

Between late-2022 and mid-2023, undercover agents purchased meth from Ulysses Bush, 44, and seized more meth from him during traffic stops in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

In April 2023, meth, fentanyl, a gun, and body armor were found in a storage unit belonging to Bush.

The purchased and seized meth was later submitted to the Homeland Security Investigations Crime Laboratory for testing, where it tested positive for meth.

Officials say between the controlled undercover purchases, traffic stops, and storage unit, Bush was held accountable for over a kilogram of methamphetamine.
