Police: Fayetteville 19-year-old used “secret menu” for cocaine, psilocybin mushroom sales

​A report says that the suspect admitted to cocaine being located in the safe in their closet, as well as to possessing mushrooms, marijuana, and THC products.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — A Fayetteville 19-year-old attending the University of Arkansas has been arrested following an investigation into alleged narcotics sales, according to a report.

The suspect was arrested on Dec. 5 and is accused of trafficking a Schedule I controlled substance, delivery of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II substance, possession with intent to deliver a Schedule VI substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, they face an enhancement due to allegedly selling the drugs within a certain distance of the Tsa La Gi bike park, located across the street.

A preliminary report says that on Dec. 5, detectives with the 4th Judicial Drug Task Force received information that the suspect was allegedly selling psilocybin mushrooms, cocaine, and marijuana from 777 S. Razorback Rd.

Surveillance was conducted in the parking lot of the apartment complex and detectives observed the suspect exit the building and meet with the driver of a vehicle located in the parking lot. The suspect was then seen handing the driver a bag, which was later found to contain 8.7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, the preliminary report said.

The report notes that detectives spoke with the driver of the vehicle, who said that he had purchased the psilocybin mushrooms from the suspect for $40. The driver showed detectives his phone, which showed the interaction with the suspect leading up to the transaction. 

The driver also showed police the suspect's Telegram page, which showed multiple drugs for sale, including psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, THC vape cartridges, and a "secret menu" of cocaine, according to the report.

Detectives made contact with the suspect and placed them under arrest, the report said. 

The suspect’s residence was searched, and evidence obtained includes 520.9 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 10.7 grams of cocaine, 375.2 grams of marijuana, 22.1 grams of THC wax, 220 grams of THC edibles, four THC cartridges, 0.8 milliliters of THC oil, $774, and a cell phone.

The report says that the suspect admitted to cocaine being located in the safe in their closet, as well as to possessing psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, and multiple THC products. 

The suspect was released on Dec. 6 on a $5,000 bond. They have a court date scheduled for Jan. 8, 2024.
