Fort Smith police investigating apparent robbery attempt that left one person injured

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to FSPD.

FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD) said on Wednesday night that officers were investigating an attempted robbery that left one person injured.

FSPD said in a release on Nov. 20 that the incident occurred at a home in the 3300 block of North 27th St.

According to the release, early information indicates that the victim was meeting people for the sale of a personal item when the situation escalated.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and no arrests have been made at this time, according to FSPD.

Fort Smith police added that it appeared to be an isolated incident and there was no threat to the public.
