FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD) announced they are searching for a man who allegedly attempted to rob somebody and then ran into the woods on Sept. 13.
Around 9:30 a.m., FSPD responded to a reported robbery near Midland Boulevard where a white man with a graying beard wearing dirty shoes, jeans, and a gray hoodie allegedly threatened somebody with a snub-nosed revolver, demanding their wallet.
The suspect fled into the woods and police have not been able to find him, despite locating a "camp" in the woods. FSPD confirms the investigation is ongoing, and police are looking at nearby video footage.
