Missouri officials investigate deadly hit-and-run in Noel

Officials said when deputies arrived at the scene near South Kings Highway and Hall Ridge Road in Noel, the vehicle that struck the man was not there.

NOEL, Mo. — A man died on Nov. 2 after being struck by a vehicle in McDonald County that later fled the scene, according to the Noel Marshal's Office. 

Officials said when deputies arrived at the scene near South Kings Highway and Hall Ridge Road in Noel, the vehicle that struck the man was not there. 

First responders later arrived at the scene and confirmed the man had died. 

Out of respect for the family, the Noel Marshal's Office said they would not be releasing the man's name at this time. 

An investigation into who hit the man is now underway. The McDonald County Sheriff's Office's Criminal Investigation Division will be assisting the marshal's office with the investigation.
