THACKERVILLE, Okla. — An Oklahoma police officer was arrested for allegedly taking a firearm from someone's property while responding to a call back in April, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).
Officer Erwin Kenneth Parker responded to an "unattended death" call in Thackerville on April 3.
In June, the Thackerville Police Department (TPD) was notified that while he was on the scene, Kenneth allegedly took a firearm from the property without reporting it and brought the weapon back to his home.
Shortly after getting word of these allegations, TPD requested OSBI's assistance to investigate the stolen firearm.
Following OSBI's investigation, Parker was arrested for larceny and booked into the Love County Jail on July 3.
OSBI said the investigation is still ongoing.
