Fort Smith Police: One person arrested after firing shotgun through door, no injuries reported

FORT SMITH, Ark. — According to the Fort Smith Police Department, one person has been arrested in a shooting incident on Friday, June 14. 

Police were dispatched to Jenny Lind Road in the early morning hours in response to a shooting complaint. In a statement, police said there was a "physical altercation" between residents of the home and during the altercation, a shotgun was fired into a door.

FSPD said the incident was isolated and there were no injuries reported.

One person was arrested at the scene and is facing several charges, FSPD said. Those charges include terroristic act, aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated domestic assault with a firearm, and terroristic threatening.
