FORT SMITH, Ark. — Three juveniles have been arrested in connection to a shooting at an apartment complex on June 2, according to the Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD).
Police responded to reports of gunshots at an apartment on North J Street, where they reportedly found bullet holes in the side of a building inhabited by two people who were not hit.
FSPD said they identified two juvenile suspects. During the investigation, a third juvenile was also arrested for "hindering apprehension" after tipping off one of the suspects that police were on their way.
On June 3, detectives found the two suspects along with multiple guns and ammunition. After interviewing them, police said they were arrested for three counts of committing a terroristic act and other related charges.
FSPD confirms the juveniles were transported to the Sebastian County Juvenile Detention Center, and their names are being withheld due to their age.
