ROGERS, Ark. — Tony Mark Pittman, a man who threatened to rape and murder Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, was arrested while on shift at an IHOP in Rogers, according to Arkansas State Police (ASP).
Pittman allegedly called ASP dispatch multiple times, stating that he wanted to murder and rape the Governor's family, saying "I'm going to butcher that ... Governor for a billion dollars."
"Pittman stated that he wanted to 'rape, murder, butcher, and slaughter' the Governor of Arkansas. He also stated that he wanted to murder and rape the Governor's family. On the final call, Pittman stated 'Why don't you send some nice people here, and I will take care of all of this, and I will kill Mrs. Huckabee and everyone else,'" court documents said.
Pittman reportedly told ASP that he worked at the Rogers IHOP, and when ASP troopers arrived there, workers confirmed Pittman's employment, and that he would arrive soon on "a push scooter (a scooter you stand on and use your feet to move)."
Two and a half hours after his shift was supposed to start, Pittman arrived, was arrested, asked for a lawyer, and then made multiple statements about the threats he made against the governor, according to ASP.
When told why he was under arrest, Pittman reportedly "smiled and said 'HooRah!'"
Pittman was arrested and booked into the Benton County jail on Jan. 2. He's accused of one count of first-degree terroristic threatening. Court records show that Pittman is being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
