Arkansas prisoner found at his home after escaping from custody of deputies

Dardanelle police shared that a prisoner who escaped from the custody of deputies during a court appearance was later found at his home in Russellville.

DARDANELLE, Ark. — The Dardanelle Police Department shared they've located a prisoner who escaped from custody of deputies while at the Yell County Courthouse.

According to authorities, they were searching is for Marson Rothman who attended court with the Yell County Sheriff's Department for charges related to arson, endangering a minor, aggravated assault, and criminal trespassing.  

While at the Yell County Courthouse in Dardanelle, police said that Rothman was able to escape from the deputies' custody and was last seen running from the courthouse southbound across Union Street and State Highway.

Authorities confirmed that Rothman was unrestrained at the time of the escape.

Following his escape, several law enforcement departments and other state agencies aided to locate Rothman.
